11/11/2023 0 Comments Little theater greenville sc![]() 2, Centre Stage is presenting Masquerade, an Evening of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Rodgers and Hammerstein. There is a small bar where you can purchase beer or wine before your show.Centre Stage houses a much smaller + more intimate space (275 seats), where there is truly not a bad seat in the house. The cast features Greenville native, Phillip Boykin. We also recommend checking out the Broadway show, Once on This Island, which will be playing at the Peace Center from Nov. Tickets are $12+ and you can get them here. 2-3, which will be held in the Gunter Theatre. Now Playing: You can check out the Reedy Reels Film Festival Nov.The Peace Center also houses Genevieve’s Theater Lounge, for if you want to grab a bite or a drink before your show. The Peace Center houses the Peace Concert Hall (2,100 seats, where you’ll see Broadway shows + large concerts) and the Gunter Theatre (smaller, 400 seats, you’ll see more films, recitals, and children’s theatre). ![]() It’s a major downtown landmark and a cultural center in Greenville with a pretty important history to the city. The Peace Center is probably the one most people think of.Whether you’re someone (like me) who tries to make it out to see as many shows as possible or if you’re just wanting to dip your toes in the theatrical sand, we put together a guide to the theatres downtown so you can see which one (s) you need to check out next. There must be a lot of us, because the theatre scene downtown is definitely thriving. □ I’m a huge fan of theatre (especially musical theatre). Wonderful place to see great play productions.Hey, Greenville. Outstanding acting, reasonable ticket or season ticket prices Have great shows with beautiful costumes and very good actors and actresses. I love the musicals but every show is superb! Very professional, talented, hardworking actors. Will keep an eye out for more plays that interest me as I will go again. Have only seen one play here but it was very good. I dont miss a show at GLT! Cute theatre with a retro look. Show was excellent, great set and costumes. Easy to find, free parking at the garage behind the theatre. We did not expect to enjoy ourselves the way we did. ![]() Fabulous! We all went because a family member was in the play. The season subscription is a very good value. There is always a good variety of shows for the season. The actors did a fantastic job in this musical. ![]() Very professional guys with great talent, we enjoyed the show so much that I would pay to see it again. Atmosphere is friendly and very good staff. This was a beautifully produced trip down memory lane that elicited smiles and tears. As a youngster, my mother took me to all of the musical productions that opened on Broadway. We have never been disappointed by a play or concert at Greenvilles Little Theater, and "Celebrate 90 Years" was another superb production. I recommend coming early and enjoy the entire area. THEN there are the other building around this place to explore and the fountain across the street too. We found the staff VERY accommodating and let us trade out tickets for handicap seating. Handicap accessible is not intuitive - so ask when you make reservations or pick up tickets. Wonderful theater with good parking, fine acoustics, and all seating seem close to the stage. You might want to look at the well kept scrapbooks that are at the office, or out and near there.Īnd if you volunteer here, you will be given many perks, such as free shows, etc. It was ANNIE and she had a real golden-lab dog. On a personal note, I saw my first play here at 13 years of age. Its a lovely building full of elegant spiral stairs that you never have to you if youd rather not. The restrooms are there on the right side of the room. You just need to go out one of the two side doors and go forward a few feet to the next glass entrance doors. Sitting on that row, you will have plenty of room for your legs to extend, or even for an electric wheelchair to park. There, you enter on the wide aisle that is level with the stage and the side door. Most parking is located behind the theatre, though some parallel parking is in front of the theatre and a few handicapped spaces are available on the left side of the building which is very close to the side door. You can enter through the side doors in order to miss the stairs. I am never disappointed!! The acting is SUPERB!!! The sets are great. I have been enjoying performances here for many years.
